How to set up your eSIM
Install before you fly, switch on after you land. It takes about a minute.
How to use (please follow carefully)
- From departure until you arrive in Japan: keep the added minpaku eSIM turned OFF.
- After you arrive: turn your main line OFF, then turn the minpaku eSIM ON and turn Data Roaming ON.

Install before you fly
Scan the QR from your email in your phone settings, on Wi-Fi. Leave it off for now.

Keep it off until you land
Validity starts the first time you switch it on in Japan — not at purchase.

Switch on after you arrive
Turn your main line off, turn the eSIM on, and enable data roaming. You're on KDDI au 5G.

Detailed setup
Your eSIM QR code is emailed to you automatically after purchase. On a Wi-Fi connection, add it to your phone:
| iPhone | Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service → Add eSIM → Use QR Code, then scan the QR from your email. |
| Android | Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM / Download a SIM, then scan the QR from your email. |
You can also enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code manually if you prefer.
